My name is Nikita and I am originally from Pereslavl-Zaleski, Russia – a small town on the outskirts of Moscow, Russia. I immigrated to the United States at the age of 12 with my family and have lived here ever since.
My love for adventure was apparent from a young age. When I was two, my parents took me to Odessa, where I proceeded to run away from out hotel room, because I wanted to go to the beach. I spent the day wondering the local streets, meeting the locals and having a blast. At the same time, my parents and half the local police spent the day looking for me. They finally found me at the local youth center.
My first motorcycle was a 1999 Suzuki SV650N. It was a fantastic bike and we had many firsts together: my first ride in the canyons, my first crash and finally my first blown engine, at which point I sold it to a friend who successfully restored it and continued to enjoy it as much as I did. Other bikes I have owned – 2003 Yamaha R6, 2006 GSXR750 and finally a 2006 BMW R1200GS Adventure, which is the bike I am doing this adventure on.

Good to meet you as well Kevin! Checked out stump jumpers and it looks pretty cool! Perhaps I will make it to one of the group rides one of these days.
